Nati means country — nati koli is the country chicken that Bengaluru
eats standing up, off a banana leaf, at eleven at night. The brief was to take that
and give it a republic: a rooster on a flag, a colour system loud enough to survive a
busy street, and a line people would repeat.
We ran the whole build. The mark is a rooster split black, red and green, stamped
Estd 2025 · Bengaluru India. The menus use condensed poster lettering and a
jagged flash for the main course, pulled from bus-stand and cinema-hoarding signage.
The tagline — omme thinni, matte banni, eat once and come back again
— sits in a speech bubble beside the bird. Then we shot the launch film and cut a
silent 16:9 loop for the screens inside the restaurant.
The collateral is where a brand like this earns its keep, so the writing had to be
funny before it was polite. Swallow like a pro. An illustrated uncle
mid-mouthful, dealt onto a banana leaf like a postcard. It is the same joke the
signage, the menu and the key visual are all telling, in a different format each time.
